PALAWAN GOVERNOR SOCRATES, JOINS THE LAUNCHING OF PUERTO PRINCESA CITY GREEN JUSTICE ZONE

Palawan Governor V. Dennis M. Socrates puts his signature on the commitment wall as part of his support to the Puerto Princesa City Justice Zone that was launched last November 10 at the Hue Hotel and Resorts, Puerto Princesa City.

Supreme Court Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo, together with DILG Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr., DOJ Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla also signed on the commitment wall along with DENR Secretary Ma. Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga, European Union to the Philippines Head of Cooperation Mr. Christoph Wagner, Australian Ambassador to the Philippines H.E HK Yu PSM, Puerto Princesa City Mayor Lucilo Bayron, and Regional Trial Court Executive Judge Jocelyn Dilig.

The activity was spearheaded by the Justice Sector Coordinating Council (JSCC) composed of the Supreme Court of the Philippines, Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

Gov. Socrates took part in the mudball throwing activity held at Puerto Princesa City Baywalk.

Among those who participated were officials and representatives from the Supreme Court of the Philippines led by Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo, Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of the Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), local government units, several government agencies, private sector, and academe.

Meanwhile, the throwing of Effective Microorganisms (EM) mudballs has become a regular activity in the City of Puerto Princesa to improve water quality of the coastal waters.
